For those of you who are following me on twitter or are on my Facebook friend’s list, probably know that I have been cooking real food for sometime. I believe this is one of the thing (out of million other things) which comes to you when you get promoted to fatherhood.
As with other things I share what I learn, I am thinking of sharing some of my culinary skills.
Today’s Recipe is Pasta
List of items required:
-
Pasta ( Macaroni/shells/…)
-
Water ( 4quarts per 10oz of pasta)
-
Red Chilli flakes ( 1 tablespoon/as per your taste)
-
Black pepper powder ( 1/2 tablespoon/as per your taste)
-
Freshly chopped Parsley – small bowl
-
Fresh Lemon Juice- 1 teaspoon
-
Salt – 2 teaspoon
-
Olive Oil – 2 teaspoon
-
Onion Ginger Sauce ( sufficient enough to cover the pasta with thin layer)
Cooking Steps:
-
Switch ON the stove and put a cooking pan on it with water.
-
Put Pasta in this water along with 1 teaspoon of salt.
-
Keep water and pasta boiling for approximate 10 minutes. Stir it couple of times in between. ( You can keep pasta for longer or lesser time, depending on how much soft you want it to be)
-
Once satisfy with the softness of pasta, switch OFF the stove and drain out water out of pan.
-
Mix olive oil in the pasta.
-
Add readymade Ginger sauce and mix it again.
-
Put additional salt, black pepper, chilli pepper and lemon juice and mix again.
-
Garnish with Parsley.
-
Serve and enjoy eating!
Cooking Pasta is all about experiments, once you have it boiled and soft, you can play around with what all you want to add into it.
Note: sometime my experiments fail and then I get from my wife..heh.
