Visit to Cashmere Museum..

Recently I had a chance to visit to Cashmere Museum, during my trip to Leavenworth and I found it really interesting for two reason:

They have recreated a village called pioneer village behind the museum building, which is so awesome. This village has a river in the background, train rail, a water wheel and lots of cabins representing various entities in the village like (barber shop, groceries, saloon…..) interestingly all of them have been recreated using the ‘original’ items they found within the 30 miles radius of museum.

There are just so many other things to see there, an vintage tractor which has Fordson engraved on it, which I am guessing is an old name of FORD motors. They had some other motored vehicles , a jeep which has GMC on it for General Motors I believe. Its amazing to know that how old these companies are.

They had a section on the various rock structures, crystal formations, which I studied as part of my bachelor degree for sometime. Its so easy to understand things when you actually see it , rather than seeing things just in the lab.

Other thing which caught my eye is a place where they have old collectible related to Scouts dating back to 1900’s. Why this is close to me? because I have served as a boy scout back in India when I was kid for around 8 years. I even got awarded by President of India for my services.

I am planning to visit this place and around more again, because we think there is just so much too see around. Must visit place if you are planning to go towards Leavenworth, which i think itself is must visit place if you are in Seattle.
