My mother is Sanskrit pro, but I would confess I have never done so well in my sanskrit exams and never felt strong about learning it as I could not find any *value* of learning pre-historic language with more or less no application to real life, untill now.
No, I am not planning to learn Sanskrit as of now, but yes, the fact that it can be used as computing language amazes me.
Sanskrit has the best defined semantics with infinite scope to create a context-free-grammar ( future of statistical natural language processing). It is mathematically highly advanced.
