Getting a birth certificate

Just few clicks online and I could order birth certificate for my daughter here in WA.

More interestingly people can order birth certificates for those who are even born as back as 1892… just pay $12 on top of the regular fees and certificates will be delivered to your home.

I can’t imagine how tough it would have been getting one in India, specially if your parents have never had one for you.

I just finish a project for Office of National Statistics, UK. The ONS is responsible for ensuring the registration of all births, marriages and deaths in England and Wales, and for maintaining a central archive dating back to 1837.

It feels really thrilled when I went to register my son’s birth using the same application. :)
