Till yesterday I was under impression that Income Tax department is just like another government department we have in India and buzz about new computer savvy professionals in the departments and quick refunds are just noise.
To my surprise I received an unexpected Income tax refund from IT department for the last financial year, even though I have not claimed for the same ( as per the documents filed by my CA).
Two things for me to conclude:
1- Income tax department is working and they are better than before.
2- I need to work with my chartered accountant and find why he missed to calculate this refund.
